The flowers of Anji Chuanghe Horticulture Co Ltd underwent a meticulous preparation process on Nov 3 to ensure their quality before being exported. The process included professional cleaning, disinfection, pruning, and bundling at the production facilities. Once transformed into beautiful round bouquets, they are ready to be shipped abroad.

Anji is a county overseen by Huzhou and is renowned for its production and sale of flowers and seedlings. The export of fresh cut flowers and seedlings has been thriving for over a decade. Recent statistics show that from January to September, Huzhou exported a total of 99 batches of flowers and seedlings worth over 21 million yuan ($2.87 million). These represent significant year-on-year increases of 40 percent and 35 percent, respectively.

Lin Long, the person in charge of Anji Chuanghe Horticulture Co Ltd, stated that "recently, we have experienced a substantial increase in the export volume of flowers and seedlings, especially with the introduction of new products. On average, we are now able to ship one container every two days, leading to a significant overall sales increase."

To cater to the unique characteristics of long production cycles, susceptibility to pests and diseases, and the time-sensitive nature of fresh cut flower and seedling exports, Huzhou Customs has established a dedicated "green channel" for the inspection of imported and exported fresh and perishable agricultural products. The declaration process has been optimized, and inspections are scheduled based on companies' shipping appointments. This has noticeably expedited the customs clearance speed for fresh cut flower and seedling exports.

In addition, strict quarantine checks are in place to ensure that no substandard leaves are included in the exported goods, maintaining the high quality of the products.
