Huzhou in Zhejiang province has made impressive progress in its efforts to promote the adoption of new energy vehicles and expand its charging infrastructure. Notably, it has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first city in the province to achieve 100 percent public charging coverage in all its towns.

According to data, Huzhou has surpassed the provincial target by a remarkable 310 percent, with the addition of 211 new public charging stations and 2,712 public charging piles between January and September.

Explaining the high demand for charging stations in Huzhou, a representative from the Huzhou Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology highlighted the city's popularity as a rural tourism destination and the presence of numerous homestay establishments.

Huzhou has achieved an impressive feat by installing charging piles around more than 100 homestays, becoming the first city in China to do so.

Currently, the city operates nearly 100 charging stations, covering an area of approximately 1,500 square kilometers and serving both urban and rural residents. Around 60 percent of the public charging piles are located in rural areas.

Taking a proactive approach, Huzhou has established a state-of-the-art digital supervision platform at the municipal level for monitoring new energy vehicle charging piles. This platform synchronizes real-time data from the "Find Charging Pile" service on Zhiliban. As of now, 97.6 percent of the city's charging piles have been integrated into the platform, solidifying Huzhou's leading position in the province.
