Zhili, a leading hub for the manufacture of children's wear in China, is expanding into the global market.

From January to October, Zhili's exports of children's clothing amounted to 1.35 billion yuan ($186.5 million). Nearly 1,000 children's clothing companies in the town have established operations in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.

This thriving hub, located in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has a strong industrial foundation that has been built over the course of 40 years. It now hosts over 14,000 children's clothing production and business entities, along with more than 8,000 e-commerce enterprises. The annual output of children's clothing from Zhili amounts to 1.5 billion articles. In fact, in 2022, the town's sales revenue exceeded 70 billion yuan, accounting for two-thirds of the entire children's clothing market in China.

Taking advantage of its success, Zhili has now registered 68 key cross-border trade service enterprises, following the implementation of national pilot programs related to market procurement and cross-border e-commerce.

In order to further accelerate its growth and build upon its achievements, the local government has recently conducted visits to Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. The purpose of these visits was to select suitable locations for overseas warehouses. As a result, Zhili has successfully established an initial group of overseas warehouses in Thailand and Malaysia, with the help of the government and local enterprises.
