The 5th G60 Yangtze River Delta Sci-tech Innovation Valley Talent Summit commenced in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 16.

The member cities of the G60 Sci-tech Innovation Valley include Shanghai's Songjiang district, Jiaxing, Hangzhou, Jinhua, Suzhou, Huzhou, Xuancheng, Wuhu, and Hefei.

Chen Hao, the secretary of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of nine cities in the region to establish the G60 alliance.

Chen highlighted Huzhou's dedication to nurturing talent and promoting innovation. The city has achieved recognition as one of the top 30 cities in China in terms of attracting talent and ranks second in Zhejiang province in terms of its youth development index. Huzhou has become a national exemplar of sustainable development agenda innovation in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta.

The Party chief also expressed his sincere hope for continued support and interest in Huzhou, encouraging people to visit the city frequently and contribute to a brighter future in the delta region.

During the opening ceremony, two important documents were unveiled, aiming to facilitate the integrated development in the delta and transform the G60 Sci-tech Innovation Valley into a magnet for talent. Since 2018, the member cities have implemented a rotational summit mechanism, successfully hosting previous summits in Songjiang, Jiaxing, Hefei, and Suzhou. The 6th edition of the summit is scheduled to be held in Xuancheng, Anhui province.
