An aircraft developed in Huzhou has recently obtained its production certificate, paving the way for mass production.
The AG100 aircraft, a three-seat, single-engine, all-composite primary trainer, has been independently developed and manufactured by the Zhejiang AVIC General Aviation Research Institute, based in the Moganshan High-tech Industrial Development Zone located in Deqing county.
Designed specifically for primary flight training and private flying, the AG100 offers exceptional features, including cost-effectiveness, high reliability, outstanding safety, low maintenance requirements, and enhanced training capabilities. With its incorporation of innovative technologies, it holds a substantial technological advantage and competitive lifecycle costs compared to similar aircraft worldwide.
In June 2020, the AG100 completed its maiden flight. The recent issuance of the production certificate for the aircraft marks another major advancement following the acquisition of the type certificate, indicating that the aircraft is now ready to enter the domestic general aviation market.
The next milestone is just on the horizon. According to the latest information from the Zhejiang AVIC General Aviation Research Institute, plans are in place to commence delivery of the first batch of AG100 aircraft in early 2024. The success of the AG100 will contribute to the growth of upstream and downstream enterprises in the general aviation industry in Deqing, fueling local authorities' ambition to establish the county as a top-tier general aviation aircraft hub in China and beyond.
