A unique job fair took place on the K210 train traveling from Guangzhou, Guangdong province to Ningbo, Zhejiang province, on Feb 26.

The event saw the participation of nine companies in Zhejiang, including five from Huzhou. Representing Zhongguan town in Huzhou's Deqing county, the five companies collectively offered more than 420 positions, drawing the attention of passengers including Sun Yuquan, a recent graduate from Nanyang Institute of Technology in Henan province.

Sun, who boarded the train in Zhongshan, Guangdong, found himself unexpectedly immersed in the job market during his journey.

"I just graduated and came to Zhejiang to find a job. I didn't expect to encounter a job fair on the train," expressed Sun, who actively explored various recruitment opportunities and engaged in discussions regarding potential roles. "The positions and salaries are quite appealing. I plan to follow up for further discussions," he remarked.

Deqing's active involvement in this innovative recruitment approach now spans three editions, including the introduction of a new live broadcast segment this year. Fei Jiamin, an official at the Deqing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, explained that the live stream showcased over 300 businesses with more than 7,600 job vacancies. Attendees were able to scan QR codes to learn about Deqing and the participating companies, facilitating direct contact for further information and consultation about potential roles.

The success of this initiative was underscored by the experience of Zhejiang Shenghua Yunfeng New Material Co Ltd, a company based in Deqing, which has benefitted from both of the past two editions of the train job fair. Meng Yuan, an employee at the company, emphasized the advantages of the train setting, highlighting the effective communication with job seekers and the enhanced compatibility between passengers and the available positions.
