A vast rapeseed flower field in Huzhou has emerged as a captivating destination for those looking to enjoy some awe-inspiring natural scenery.

Spanning 1,300 mu (86.67 hectares) in Daixi town, Huzhou's Changxing district, the expansive golden sea of flowers has transformed once mundane farmland into a breathtaking scenic area set amidst lush valleys. It represents the largest of its kind in Changxing and is the brainchild of entrepreneur Xiao Fenfen.

Collaborating with a team of experts from the provincial agricultural science institute, Xiao established a company last year to create a demonstration planting base for a new variety of rapeseed flowers. The modern agricultural venture transcends traditional farming, aiming to fully harness the multi-functional aspects of rapeseed, including its use in oil production, as an ornamental flower, as a vegetable, as fertilizer, for honey production, and even for medicinal purposes.

On March 25, Xiao's company unveiled its inaugural line of hand creams and face masks crafted from rapeseed flower extracts. Additionally, the company has forged partnerships with businesses in Shanghai to develop a range of leisure foods and beverages, such as rapeseed flower coffee and rapeseed flower liquor.

Furthermore, a rapeseed flower tourism festival is scheduled to take place in the area on March 30, with plans in the pipeline for the establishment of a rapeseed museum.
