Wuxing celebrates tea production kickoff with grand ceremony

Wuxing district in Huzhou recently inaugurated a year of tea production with a splendid ceremony.

The event began with a melodious tea-themed song, encapsulating the rich historical tea culture of Wuxing and showcasing the creativity of contemporary tea artisans.

It was followed by live demonstrations of tea roasting and the signing of agreements for tea processing with local tea enterprises, paving the way for future collaborations.

The primary objective of the event is to raise public awareness of Wuxing tea, while also emphasizing the district's commitment to safeguarding and promoting its ancient tea cultural heritage.

Wuxing boasts expansive tea gardens covering an area of nearly 40,000 mu (2,666,67 hectares) in total. In the previous year, the district yielded 588 metric tons of dried tea, with a total value of 239 million yuan ($33.03 million), as confirmed by a representative from local agricultural and rural affairs authorities.
