Huzhou has emerged as a top-tier destination for travelers during this year's three-day Qingming Festival holiday, joining the ranks of Tianjin, Datong, Jingdezhen, Qinhuangdao, Kaifeng, Tai'an, Xuzhou, and Yantai as one of the most sought-after locations.

According to data unveiled by the local cultural and tourism authorities, as of 2:00 pm on April 6, Huzhou's A-level scenic spots, hotels, rural tourism sites, and cultural venues collectively welcomed nearly 2.14 million visitors.

The city's key scenic spots gained huge popularity, with Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise attracting a total of 213,000 visitors during the break, reaching a peak daily visitor count of over 80,000. Additionally, Nangxun Ancient Town hosted 454,000 visitors, hitting the scenic area's capacity limit on the first two days of the holiday.

Huzhou's deliberate efforts to diversify its offerings and appeal to a younger demographic have evidently paid off, resulting in a substantial surge in tourism during the Qingming Festival.

With a wide range of cultural and tourism activities on offer, Huzhou is poised to establish itself as a must-visit destination for holidaymakers seeking a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. This year, the city is expected to host 219 cultural and tourism events, with an estimated 5 million citizens and tourists anticipated to participate.
