Two industrial clusters in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, have been listed among the top 100 industrial clusters in China for 2024.

The announcement was made at the China Private Economy Development Forum, which recently took place in Quanzhou, Fujian province.

Huzhou's recognized industrial clusters specialize in modern textiles and garments, as well as green battery production, positioning the city as third in Zhejiang in terms of the number of inclusions.

The selection process rigorously assessed over 2,000 private economy industrial clusters across the country, adhering to six stringent entry criteria: a minimum cluster output value of 30 billion yuan ($4.15 billion), a threshold of 3,000 enterprises within the cluster, a minimum 80-percent contribution rate from private enterprises, a top-three ranking in the segmented industry field, and a clean record with no major production safety, product quality, or environmental pollution incidents in the past three years.

The ranking of the top 100 industrial clusters also took into account factors such as innovation capability, development potential, agglomeration degree, green and low-carbon development, and level of openness.
