Deqing county in Huzhou has recently secured the sixth position on the 2024 list of the top 100 county-level areas in China in terms of comprehensive tourism strength.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that Deqing has made it onto the top 100 list, with its ranking progressively improving each year, reflecting the county's robust cultural and tourism development.

During this year's May Day holiday (May 1-5), Deqing welcomed a total of 1.38 million tourists, marking a 15.33 percent increase compared to the previous year, while tourism revenue amounted to nearly 1.89 billion yuan ($260.29 million), year-on-year growth of 4.53 percent.

In recent years, Deqing's cultural and tourism sector has transitioned from landscape-focused tourism to a more inclusive approach, creating holistic consumption experiences that seamlessly blend cultural and tourist attractions in the county.
