Anji bamboo mats gaining popularity overseas
A batch of bamboo cool mats valued at around 114,000 yuan ($15,878.86) from Anji Florid Artware Co in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, was recently exported overseas after passing inspection by Huzhou Customs.
Anji county, rich in bamboo, boasts nearly a thousand enterprises producing a variety of bamboo products. In recent years, the export of bamboo, wood, and grass products has become a pivotal part of Anji's foreign trade.
The statistics for the first half of this year reveal a substantial growth in exports, with 918 batches of bamboo mats and curtains exported, valued at $27 million.
Florid Artware's factories are currently operating at full capacity. "Our bamboo mats are mainly exported to several countries in Europe, North America, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. Bamboo carpets and curtains are also our major products," said Yu Minjing, manager of the company's document department.
To meet the safety demands of the consumer market, the company has developed a cordless bamboo curtain. This curtain design features distinctive Chinese characteristics while innovating on structural features, making it highly popular among overseas consumers.
To ensure seamless customs clearance for exports, Huzhou Customs has streamlined export processes and provided guidance to enterprises, propelling Anji's unique products to greater heights in international markets.
