The children's wear industry of Zhili town, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, is experiencing a notable uptick in international buyers, with entrepreneurs from countries like Russia, Chile, Argentina, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan flocking to the town for business opportunities.

The town's allure lies in its renowned children's clothing market, characterized by high-quality products, competitive pricing, and a well-developed industry ecosystem.

To facilitate the growth of this market, Zhili has initiated free night school sessions teaching English on the children's clothing trade, equipping local industry workers with language skills to engage with international clients more effectively.

By fostering collaboration and exchange platforms, Zhili is enabling seamless interactions between local children's wear businesses and overseas buyers. The recent China (Zhili) Kids Wear Global Procurement Conference witnessed 32 overseas buyers from 12 countries signing agreements for 180 million yuan ($25.22 million) in tentative orders.

Moreover, Zhili is encouraging local enterprises to venture abroad collectively, exemplified by the launch of the Huzhou (ASEAN) Overseas Marketing Center in Bangkok, Thailand, in June. To date, 45 enterprises from Zhili have set up operations in the children's wear sub-center, attracting 160,000 overseas visits in the past two months and generating over 27 million yuan in intended transactions.

With Zhili children's clothing dominating the Chinese market and permeating into 165 countries and regions globally, the town's export of children's wear surged to approximately 1.5 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a 12.6 percent year-on-year increase.
