Three tea production enterprises from Huzhou, Zhejiang province, attracted many visitors at the 4th Shanghai International Tea Industry Expo held in Shanghai from Aug 22 to 25.

Anji Luoming Tea Co, one of the standout companies, presented a diverse selection of teas including Anji white tea, cold-brewed tea, and jasmine tea, drawing particular interest from the younger crowd.

Visitors were impressed by the distinct aroma, blending green tea notes with subtle hints of beans, and they were allowed to taste and discover their favorite tea before making a purchase.

Huzhou's strategic focus on the tea industry has not only enhanced farmers' livelihoods and promoted eco-friendly agriculture but also led to the emergence of renowned tea varieties like Anji white tea, Changxing Zisun tea, and Mogan yellow buds. Anji white tea was recognized among the top 10 in terms of regional public tea brand value in China.

In 2023, the city's tea gardens covered an area of 432,500 mu (288,33.33 hectares), with an output of 12,800 metric tons valued at over 6 billion yuan ($842.84 million). Both the output value per mu and the total value were the highest in the province.
