A road trip route in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, recently secured a spot among the top 20 most beautiful road trip boutique routes in a ranking by the Ministry of Transport. Standing out among 135 routes nationwide, the route is the sole entry from Zhejiang.

The route spans three counties and two districts in Huzhou, encompassing 31 primary local roads with a total length of 247.924 kilometers. It weaves together natural landscapes, tourist hotspots, cultural landmarks, and distinctive industries, creating a seamless experience for travelers.

It connects the 5A-level Nanxun Ancient Town, 12 4A-level scenic areas like Mogan Mountain scenic area, and 13 3A-level attractions including Yuanxiang Holiday Village and Guzhu scenic area.

Ni Wei, general manager of the "Digang Yuzhuang" hotel in Nanxun district, said that since the introduction of the route, the hotel has witnessed a surge in tourists, receiving over 200,000 visits during the summer holiday, with 80 percent of road trip tourists.

The route not only boasts picturesque scenery but also offers a comprehensive experience covering dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment, providing myriad opportunities for travelers to immerse themselves in Huzhou's unique charm.

Moreover, the route has established a convenient "half-hour transportation service circle", with roadside amenities catering to the various needs of road trip tourists, including rest, refueling, and charging. Leveraging a robust rural logistics network, local specialties like crabs and white tea are now readily delivered to homes.
