The first Huzhou (Autumn) Auto Expo, hosted by the Huzhou News Media Center and the Huzhou Automobile Dealers Association, concluded its three-day run in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Sept 22.

The expo saw a remarkable total of 1,156 vehicles sold, with new energy vehicles dominating sales at over 65 percent, generating 188 million yuan ($26.78 million) in revenue.

The expo showcased nearly 50 automobile brands and over 300 vehicle models, catering to a wide range of consumer preferences. From traditional gasoline cars to hybrid and new energy options, it boasted a mix of high-end brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW, alongside new energy players such as BYD, Xiaomi, and Geely.

Furthermore, with the implementation of Zhejiang's automobile trade-in and subsidy policies, the expo offered more affordable products to buyers. On-site vehicle bookings came with the chance to win enticing prizes like televisions, refrigerators, tents, and suitcases, further drawing in eager consumers.

Zhang Deping, a host at Huzhou Media Radio, noted the exceptional purchasing power demonstrated by consumers. "The strong sales performance, particularly in the new energy vehicle segment, showed attendees' trust in the expo."

The Huzhou News Media Center will hold exhibitions specifically for new energy vehicles in the future, Zhang revealed.
