In the first three quarters of this year, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, saw exports of 60.81 billion yuan ($8.55 billion) to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, marking a 3 percent year-on-year increase, according to Huzhou Customs.

Huzhou Customs recently conducted remote inspections via video for Anji Huaxin Bamboo Products Co, expediting the examination of 114 boxes of bamboo strips destined for Ghana in just 20 minutes.

The company's Sales Director, Chen Fangna, praised the remote inspection approach for cutting warehousing costs and facilitating market expansion. The company's bamboo strip sales in BRI nations more than tripled in the past three quarters, fueling optimism for future growth.

Daban Technology (Changxing) Co, a high-tech industrial coating producer, also capitalized on the Belt and Road initiative, successfully exporting its first batch of coatings totaling 25 metric tons last month.

The company's Foreign Trade Specialist, He Rongzheng, credited customs' comprehensive export guidance for the smooth transaction and outlined plans to explore markets in Saudi Arabia and Hungary.

Huzhou Customs affirmed its commitment to supporting local businesses in BRI markets through personalized policy briefings and guidance as well as streamlined processes.
