The first water tourism route of Anji county, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, linking West Tiaoxi River to Taihu Lake, set sail on Oct 27. At 11 am, a vessel departed from Xinfeng Wharf, launching a water sightseeing journey for 58 passengers along the river.
Traveling 59 kilometers, including 20 km in Anji, the cruise meandered through charming villages like Jingwan and Xiaoxikou and various scenic spots. Amid the natural beauty, visitors were also treated to cultural performances like the Yueju Opera.

Zhu Haibing, deputy director of the Anji West Tiaoxi River Basin High-Quality Development Service Center, noted the route's significance in transforming the river from merely a beautiful sight to an economic asset. It is expected to increase revenues for over 50 local businesses, including homestays, hotels, and attractions.
Future plans involve leveraging the water route to connect cultural and tourism attractions along it, turning West Tiaoxi River into a dynamic "reception hall" for visitors.
