The second National College Students Rural Revitalization Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition concluded in Anji county, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Nov 8.
The competition, launched in February, drew 1,051 teams from 237 universities around the world, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, and University College London, marking a 135-team increase from the event's first edition.
Throughout the competition, 8,347 participants explored Anji's villages, leaving fruitful creative accomplishments amid picturesque landscapes.
At the closing ceremony, organizers awarded standout teams and facilitated the on-site signing of agreements between eight projects and designated villages.
In recent years, Anji has been working to become a top rural destination for young entrepreneurs, leveraging its natural allure to attract talent. It also signed agreements during the ceremony with Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics, Zhejiang A&F University, and the Anji Campus of Zhejiang University of Science & Technology.
Reflecting on their experience, Sang Suhui, the representative of a cafe project team, shared, "We experienced the strong entrepreneurship atmosphere and distinctive charm of Anji during our 100-day stay in the village." The team aims to enrich Anji's appeal as a must-visit destination through their project.
