A three-wheeled electric vehicle factory in Seville, Spain, was conducting test drives on Dec 15. Meanwhile, over 10,000 kilometers away at Zhejiang Rap Intelligent Automobile Co in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, CEO Wang Guofu and his team were closely monitoring the test drive process through a video conference.

"After passing the test, the three-wheeled electric vehicle can be mass-produced for the local market." Wang expressed his excitement over the prospects for the company's first overseas factory, which began operations in June 2024 with an expected annual output of 15,000 vehicles.

Founded in 2018 amid China's burgeoning new energy vehicle industry, Wang's strategic decision to focus on three-wheeled vehicles differentiated the company in the market. He emphasized the inevitability of electric three-wheelers replacing fuel-powered ones due to environmental concerns, highlighting the vast market potential, especially overseas.

Collaborating with Spaniard Jose Maria Gomez in October 2018, Wang opened the Spanish market and later established the company's first overseas factory in Spain. The distinctive "RAP" logo became a ubiquitous sight, symbolizing the company's global presence.

The over 400 components on these three-wheeled vehicles boast 102 domestic and EU patents, with 38 invention patents.

Expanding its global reach, "RAP" vehicles now traverse 45 countries and regions, demonstrating the company's role in advancing Zhejiang's new quality productive forces and enhancing international trade.
