Huzhou wine culture celebrated in new book

A book on Wucheng wine — a historically renowned wine of Huzhou, Zhejiang province — was launched on Dec 29.
The book, compiled by Zhang Qianfang, vice-president of the Huzhou Wine Culture Research Association, is based on practical experience and years of research. It's the first systematic and comprehensive monograph introducing the history and culture of Wucheng wine in Huzhou.
The book is divided into nine chapters, including the origin, utensils, types and craftsmanship, masters, and customs of Huzhou wine.
Totaling 230,000 words and featuring over 120 precious historical pictures, the book deeply explores and presents the splendid wine culture of Huzhou.
Huzhou wine stands out as a historical treasure of the city. As such, the publication of the book will provide valuable information for the preservation and development of Huzhou wine culture.
Luo Kaifu, former executive deputy editor-in-chief of the Economic Daily and a cultural expert, wrote the preface and Song Houjun, a famous calligrapher, provided the title inscription for the book.
