As Chinese New Year draws near, Anji county in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, is seeing its annual peak in the export of traditional festive decorations such as bamboo lanterns and New Year flowers.
At Zhejiang Fenghui Bamboo and Wood Products Co, bamboo lanterns are lined up neatly as workers conduct final quality checks. At Anji Chuanghe Horticulture Co, workers carefully disinfect, trim, and bundle New Year flowers that will adorn homes for Spring Festival.
These traditional decorations will be shipped overseas, spreading the atmosphere of Chinese New Year worldwide.
Anji county, blessed with abundant bamboo resources due to its favorable geographical location, is known for its bamboo, wood, and grass products both domestically and internationally. Nearly a thousand enterprises in Anji are engaged in exporting these products.
Liang Fenghui, general manager of Zhejiang Fenghui Bamboo and Wood Products Co, emphasized the importance of adhering to the export standards for different countries.
Huzhou Customs is focusing on assisting the enterprises by providing guidance on product quarantine, enhancing quality and safety management systems, and offering timely updates on foreign laws and regulations.
Through efficient customs clearance processes and compliance with international standards, Anji's bamboo lanterns, New Year flowers, and other festive decorations are ready to bring the spirit of Chinese New Year to the world.
