Recognizing the environmental challenges posed by sea vessels during their port stays and the harmful effects of traditional diesel generators, Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province is adopting shore-to-ship power systems to revolutionize port operations and usher in a new era of sustainability.

Through the "green shore power" technology, ships switch off their diesel generators while docking and run on the port’s electricity. The innovative approach not only eliminates harmful emissions but also significantly reduces noise and vibrations in port areas.

This initiative results in an annual reduction of approximately 304 metric tons of fuel consumption and 1,344 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Beneath the calm waters lies a future where humanity and nature coexist harmoniously.

Explore how Huzhou is embracing "green shore power" technology to advance sustainability in this video.
