The Brazil-China Researchers' Symposium on Forests and Nature: COP 30 and Beyond was held on Sept 3 and 4 in Brasilia, Brazil, marking the launch of the Nature Partner Program's Sino-Brazilian Sustainable Development Center.

The opening of the center highlighted the global appeal of green solutions provided by Huzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province.

Launched in June 2024 by Huzhou and the Carbon Neutrality and Green Development Research Center of China Jiliang University, the Nature Partner Program promotes the concept that "everyone can be a partner of nature".

Through projects like Nature Partners and Nature Farmers, the program shifts ecological protection from government-led to community-driven, integrating ecological practices into everyday life.

Brazil, with its vast rainforests and biodiversity, shares ecological challenges similar to those of Huzhou.

As the birthplace of China's green development concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", Huzhou has developed successful practices in ecological restoration and sustainable development that offer replicable solutions for resource-dependent regions.

The new Sino-Brazilian Sustainable Development Center will focus on forest protection, climate change, and sustainable agriculture, fostering scientific cooperation and experience sharing.

The Nature Partner Program has already cultivated 16 sub-brands, including Nature Partners for seeking ways to turn natural treasures into sustainable growth, Nature Artists for conveying ecological beauty through creativity, and Nature Farmers for promoting ecological agriculture.
