Huzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province is expected to become a top destination for the upcoming eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, driven by its thriving hotel industry.
According to the 2025 National Day Holiday Data Forecast Report released by Ctrip, one of the country's biggest online travel agencies, Huzhou ranks 13th among China's prefecture-level cities for hotel popularity and 10th for inbound visitors' holiday stays.
As hotels become increasingly integral to the travel experience, Huzhou's prominence is evident. It's the only city in China with four national-level tourist resorts and boasts 68 mid-to-high-end brand hotels and 3,340 homestays.
Anji, a county in Huzhou, leads in high-end brand hotels nationwide and is home to 15 international brand hotels.
In addition, hotels and homestays in Huzhou all have their own features. Some highlight the picturesque scenery of the ancient town, while others emphasize local cultural experiences.
The Longemont Happy World Hotel in Huzhou's Changxing county is experiencing a surge in bookings. The Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise will host music shows and unveil new attractions during the break.
"Enjoyable accommodation is a vital part of travel, and Huzhou welcomes visitors with diverse offerings," said an official from the Huzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism.
