A children's wear company in Zhili town, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has secured a significant order from the United Nations for children's clothing to support UN aid projects, marking a major step in its international market expansion.

In an industrial park in Zhili, over 30 workers are busy packing items like cotton jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, and shoes into blue packages marked with the iconic logo of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, also known as UNICEF.

Each package contains 38 items, designed to be warm and durable for multiple children, according to Wang Yongqiang, head of Huzhou Boao Garments.

Wang's company produces the cotton jackets, while other items come from various enterprises. The decision to pack in Zhili is due to the longer preparation time for cotton jackets and the need for ample space.

With support from local trade and development centers, the company secured the UN order despite tight deadlines, utilizing its rapid production capabilities honed through years in cross-border e-commerce. The first batch was delivered in early October, with a second batch underway.

This collaboration highlights Zhili's production strengths and marks a strategic shift from traditional e-commerce to international government procurement, enhancing the global market presence of Zhili's children's clothing.
