The Beauty Ville, a cosmetics industrial zone located in Daixi town, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, has become a thriving hub for the beauty industry in China.

Through a decade of development, it's now home to 303 domestic and international beauty-related enterprises, with a total output exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.42 billion) in 2024, making it one of China's top three beauty industry clusters.

Once a barren mining site, the area has been transformed through sustainable development efforts. Daixi town's shift from mining to beauty began in 2005 with the closure of mines and the launch of ecological restoration initiatives.

The area's lush forests and pristine water have been attracting beauty companies that require high environmental standards. In 2006, Proya, a leading Chinese beauty brand, established its new production base in the town.

In 2015, Zhejiang promoted the development of the fashion industry, with a focus on the establishment of industry clusters, including the Beauty Ville. This led to an acceleration in the beauty industry cluster's development.

The Beauty Ville's success lies in its collaborative ecosystem. A network of 303 companies, across the whole value chain of the beauty industry, has been established there. This synergy has driven significant economic growth, with exports reaching 284 million yuan from January to October, a 34.59 percent increase year-on-year.

To promote the integrated development of the beauty and cultural tourism industries, Daixi town has enriched its tourism offerings by connecting five key scenic areas, including Fashion Valley and Four Seasons Rose Manor. The town has also held vibrant events like the Fragrance Art Festival to attract tourists.
