Huzhou's per capita disposable income reaches new high in 2025

Huzhou's per capita disposable income reached 70,521 yuan ($10,136) in 2025, surpassing the 70,000-yuan mark for the first time, according to the Huzhou Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics. This represents a 4.8 percent increase compared to the previous year.

Urban residents' per capita disposable income was 80,838 yuan in 2025, marking a 4.2 percent rise from the previous year. Meanwhile, rural residents saw their per capita disposable income reach 53,636 yuan, a 5.6 percent increase. The income growth rate for rural residents outpaced that of urban residents by 1.4 percentage points.

The income ratio between urban and rural residents narrowed to 1.51, down by 0.02 from the previous year.

Wage income continued to make up the bulk of earnings, with balanced growth across various income sources. In 2025, the per capita wage income was 40,064 yuan, up 4.9 percent. Operating net income was 15,100 yuan, up 4.8 percent, property net income reached 5,626 yuan, up 4.4 percent, and transfer net income was 9,731 yuan, up 4.8 percent.

The steady rise in income and the narrowing urban-rural income gap reflect Huzhou's strong economic and social development, as well as improvements in living standards, enhancing residents' feelings of wellbeing.
