Huzhou's GDP up 5.9% in 2025
Huzhou, a city in Zhejiang province, has reported stable economic performance in 2025, with its GDP reaching 445.28 billion yuan ($64.0 billion), up 5.9 percent from the previous year.
The agricultural sector, encompassing farming, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries, recorded a total output value of 30.23 billion yuan, reflecting a 4.5 percent growth compared to the previous year.
Industrial growth was particularly strong, with the value-added output of industrial enterprises above the designated size — those with annual main business revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.84 million) or more — rising by 9.0 percent.
The service sector's value-added output reached 221.67 billion yuan, increasing by 5.7 percent.
Retail sales of consumer goods totaled 197.8 billion yuan, up 3.9 percent.
The city's imports and exports totaled 171.44 billion yuan, a 3.0 percent increase. Exports rose by 2.1 percent to 156.29 billion yuan, while imports surged by 13.5 percent to 15.15 billion yuan.
Residents' per capita disposable income exceeded 70,000 yuan for the first time, reaching 70,521 yuan.
The per capita disposable income of urban residents hit 80,838 yuan, an increase of 4.2 percent, while that of rural residents was 53,636 yuan, an increase of 5.6 percent. The income ratio between urban and rural residents was 1.51:1, narrowing by 0.02 from the previous year.
