Inner Mongolia Grassland Cultural Festival to kick off
The 20th Inner Mongolia Grassland Cultural Festival will be held in Hohhot, the capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from July 8 to Aug 6.
This year's festival will feature six major sections and 28 events.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 8 pm on July 8 at the Inner Mongolia Sports Stadium, presented as a concert.
While the closing ceremony is set to be a dance showcase, selecting award-winning works from Inner Mongolia's dance competitions and inviting classic works from Guangxi, Tibet, Ningxia, and Xinjiang autonomous regions to promote the exchange and mutual learning of ethnic folk dances.
It is worth mentioning that this year's festival includes a regional cultural exchange section.
The section aims to promote cultural exchange and fusion among areas by inviting renowned Chinese opera singers, hosting the Chinese Yellow River Basin Drama Red Plum Competition, and an exhibition of outstanding acrobatics and magic performances from five provinces and regions in North China.
