The Fourth China-Mongolia Expo came to a successful end in Hohhot, the capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 10.

During the five-day expo, more than 20 economic and trade activities were held, with over 200 projects signed and the total contract value reaching 385.34 billion yuan ($54.97 billion).

The main exhibition area at the Chilechuan International Convention and Exhibition Center received 750,000 visits, with on-site procurement transactions approximating 250 million yuan.

"This expo was spectacular and unprecedented," said Li Jun, an official from the Commerce Department of Inner Mongolia.

First, the overall scale of participation exceeded those of previous expos, with over 10,000 guests and exhibitors present.

Second, the Economic and Trade Fair for China's Northward Opening-up saw the value of signed agreements surpass the total of the previous three expos combined.

Third, the convention and exhibition center hit new milestones in the number of participating countries, exhibition areas, and industry enterprises compared to previous expos.

Fourth, the first Inner Mongolia Food Culture Week was held, leading to enriched exchanges of culinary cultures and proving a huge hit among attendees.

The China-Mongolia Expo is a long-term cooperative project between the two countries, serving as an international platform for economic, trade, and cultural exchanges. It has previously been held in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
