Inner Mongolia's GDP hits 1.69 trillion yuan in first 3 quarters

In the first nine months of this year, the GDP of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region registered at 1.69 trillion yuan ($231.26 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7.2 percent.

The added value of its primary industry was 82.3 billion yuan, an increase of 7.4 percent; the added value of its secondary industry rose 8.2 percent to 837.7 billion yuan; and the added value of its tertiary industry jumped 6.3 percent to 768.2 billion yuan.

Industrial production improves rapidly in quality

From January to September, the added value of industries above a designated size in the region increased by 7.6 percent year-on-year.

Market consumption shows steady recovery

In the first three quarters, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the region were 378.11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.1 percent.

Resident income posts healthy climb

Over the same period, the per capita disposable income of all residents in the region was 28,316 yuan, an increase of 6.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
