Inner Mongolia delegation shines at National Traditional Sports Games of Ethnic Minorities

The delegation from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region made a spirited appearance at the 12th National Traditional Sports Games of Ethnic Minorities' equestrian competition, which commenced in Zhaosu county, Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on July 8.

The equestrian competition is divided into two main categories: competitive events and exhibition events. The competitive events include ethnic horse racing, horseback archery, khadag picking on horseback, and individual biathlon. The exhibition events are categorized into competitive, skill, and comprehensive displays.

A total of 12 delegations, comprising 229 athletes, 276 horses, and 13 camels, from such places as Inner Mongolia, Jilin province, and Xinjiang, are participating in this year's games. This marks the highest number of participating teams in the history of the event, which will run until July 13.

The Inner Mongolia delegation, consisting of 70 athletes, will compete with 63 horses and 13 camels. They are committed to giving it their all, striving to bring honor and glory to Inner Mongolia.
