Jinpu New Area and Huawei Technologies Co recently announced their cooperation on a new development base of intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) in the area.
The ICVs base aims to lead the industry in North China, relying on Jinpu's solid foundation of the whole-vehicles and auto parts industry and Huawei's strengths in intelligent network.
The base will be an automobile testing and innovation base in Jinpu New Area, targeting at a ICVs industry worth 100 billion yuan ($15.4 billion).
The base will be able to provide a variety of test scenarios, and gradually form an automobile industry cluster.
It will also become an innovation platform for R&D and manufacturing of NEVs and smart vehicles.
By putting into its professional personnel, Huawei will provide support for ecological construction, industrial empowerment and brand building.
Moreover, the base will work with universities to cultivate talents for the industry.
