A total of 46 enterprises in the Jinpu New Area made into the list of Dalian’s top 100 enterprises in 2020, accounting for nearly half of the list, including 42 industrial enterprises, 1 construction firm and 3 trading companies.
The annual list is a highly-watched index that measures the development of enterprises in the city. The fact that 46 Jinpu enterprises made into this year’s list, illustrated the strong manufacturing foundation and rapid economic development of the Jinpu New Area. As a core area for Dalian's manufacturing industry and strategic emerging industries development, Jinpu has a complete industrial system, high-end equipment, and high degree of industrial agglomeration.
In 2019, Jinpu ranked 16th in the top 100 industrial zones in China. The new area has formed five industrial clusters focused on petrochemical engineering, electronic information, equipment manufacturing, finished vehicles and parts, and biomedicine. From January to October this year, the petrochemical industry grew by 33.4 percent year-on-year, the equipment manufacturing industry grew by 26.8 percent year-on-year, the biomedical industry grew by 15.8 percent year-on-year, and the electronic information industry grew by 5.9 percent year-on-year.
