Jinpu to build a modern agricultural center

Dalian plans to build an influential agricultural center in Puwan Economic Zone of Jinpu New Area and makes it into a first-class agricultural trading center in China.

The project, formally known as Dalian Modern Agricultural Industry Center, covers about 3.5 square kilometers, including an agricultural products wholesale market, high-standard refrigerated warehouse, food deep processing center, distribution center, seed industry trading center. Its Phase 1 construction is scheduled to start in the spring and is expected to be completed and functional by 2022.

Li Pengyu, director of the Jinpu Management Committee, said that this project is vital for people's livelihood and will consolidate Dalian's status as a logistics center and shipping center in Northeast Asia, contributing to the regions’ rural revitalization, market vitality, and economic development.
