On March 3, Jinpu New Area signed a photoelectric project with a total investment of 1.3 billion yuan ($203 million). Once completed, it is projected to have a monthly output of 1.5 million micro displays, with an estimated annual output value of 1.5 billion yuan and tax revenue of 80 million yuan.

The project will play a leading role in upgrading the semiconductor industry in Jinpu, promoting the agglomeration of integrated circuit industry, and creating an internationally competitive industrial ecosystem.

The project, by Dalian Zhongdao Electronic Technology Co., is located in the China-Japan (Dalian) Regional Development Cooperation Demonstration Zone, covering an area of 63,000 square meters, mainly focused on the design, R&D and production of photoelectric devices.

The products have the advantages of low power, high contrast, high resolution, ultra-thin and light, and have wide application prospects in smart wear, head-mounted display, medical equipment, national defense and military fields.
