A total of 540 parallel-imported cars recently enjoyed shorter clearance under the supervision of Dayaowan customs. This is the first time that Dalian Port has imported large quantities of parallel-import cars this year.

After customs clearance at Dalian port, the parallel-imported cars are then freighted from the customs supervision zone to the Dayaowan Comprehensive Bonded Area for storage. In the past, it usually took two weeks for such a large amount of parallel-imported cars to complete the processes of registration and freight, adding to their storage costs.

Dayaowan customs has optimized the supervision process so that customs clearance and vehicle transfer are completed on the same day, saving their holding time and storage costs.

In 2022, Dayaowan customs has innovated a one-stop inspection mode and information platform, and applied them to parallel-imported vehicles, cutting the average clearance times by nearly 50 percent.

According to statistics, Dayaowan customs had inspected and released more than 4,800 imported cars of various types in the first five months the year, and has released certification for 20 models of parallel imported vehicles from seven different brands.
