The Dalian Customs has handled a record number of the China-Europe freight trains in the first half of this year.

The number hit 52 in H1, according to Dayaowan Customs, totaling 5,184 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), with a cargo weight of 56,600 tons and a value of about 1.13 billion yuan ($167.3 million), up 48.6 percent, 48.5 percent, 132 percent, and 41.6 percent year-on-year, respectively.

To meet the growing demand for China-Europe freight trains, Dayaowan Customs has guided enterprises and assisted them in developing characteristic routes, such as customized export freight trains of domestic automobile brands and transit freight trains of complete vehicles.

Dayaowan Customs promotes the construction of an integrated information service system of sea-railway transportation to ensure the efficient and stable operation of China-Europe freight trains. The system integrates port and railway departments, and intellectually collects information on trains, ships and containers. It efficiently combines roll-on-roll-off ships, containers, and railway special cargo at Dalian port, which has created a new prospect for the development of joint railway and water transportation.
