Kazuhide Ota is the president of Star Micronics Manufacturing (Dalian) Co Ltd, which was established in Jinpu by Star Micronics in 1989. In the aughts he visited Dalian frequently on business. It's his first time to be based here in the city.
Following the company's rapid development in Jinpu, the production of the factory's lathe business now accounts for 50-60 percent of Star Micronics' total production, making it one of their most important overseas factories.
