Graphene water filtration tech stuns Aquatech China
“Our graphene water filter is capable of killing 99.3 percent of bacteria in water within one second,” said Ma Liguo, director of research and development department at a Rudong-based graphene company, at the 12th Aquatech China event held in Shanghai on June 3.
The introduction of the graphene water filter of Qiangsheng Kairuina Graphene Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Nantong Qiangsheng Group, drew crowds of people from the water purification industry.
Ma noted that the technology, developed independently by Qiangsheng Kairuina Graphene Co Ltd, integrates graphene technology with carbon technology, helping improve water quality in a quicker and safer manner.
According to the company, its graphene water filters were put into production in May, and 100,000 are now produced monthly.
A number of leading water purification companies in the country have ordered the company's graphene water filters.
During the exhibition, more than 10,000 people visited the company's booth and over 20 companies expressed an intention to cooperate with Qiangsheng Kairuina Graphene Co Ltd.
Sha Xiaolin, chairman of Nantong Qiangsheng Group, noted that graphene is a new material with a wide range of applications.
Sha said that the exhibition helps expand the company's ties with water purification enterprises throughout China and increases its recognition in Africa and Southeast Asia.
During the event, Nantong Qiangsheng Group also closed agreements with a German company to introduce new sewage treatment technology.
Aquatech China, launched 11 years ago, serves as a gathering place for the water purification industry.
This year, the exhibition attracted over 3,000 companies from around the world.
