Rudong acrobat wins international honor

Ding Yang, an acrobat from Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, was recently honored with the Allan Slaight International Rising Star Award for her magic show Moonlight Pigeon.
Her latest show, Moonlight Pigeon, integrates both acrobatics and magic, offering audiences a whole new visual experience.
The Allan Slaight International Rising Star Award, established by the Slaight Family, recognizes outstanding magicians and acrobats from around the world.
Ding Yang was the first Chinese acrobat to win the award.
“I'm honored to receive this award,” said Ding Yang. She said that she will continue working to improve her performances.
Ding, who started performing acrobatics 11 years ago, now performs around the world every year. In 2015, she won the Golden Aster Award, the most prestigious award in acrobatics, for her performance Releasing Pigeons. She was known at that time as “Pigeon Girl”.
