The main structure of a plant project funded by Jiangsu Haili Offshore Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Co Ltd was recently completed. The plants are expected to begin operating in mid-August.

The Haili plant project, as a leading project in Rudong for offshore wind power, is located in the Rudong Coastal Economic Development Zone in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province. It has received 200 million yuan ($29.09 million) in investment.

The project officially started in September 2018.

The project includes two manufacturing plants, one auxiliary room, a number of yards, roads connecting the plants to the main road, and other facilities.

The plant will mainly produce heavy-duty equipment such as towers, single piles, and jackets for offshore wind power devices.

It is expected to have an annual production capacity of 400 sets of 5 MW wind turbine towers and 240 sets of 10 MW wind turbine towers. Annual taxable sales are expected to reach 2 billion yuan.

It is also expected to boost development of wind power generation, offshore wind power equipment manufacturing, and supporting industries, local officials said.
