Updated: 2019-08-29

The Yangkou Port Bonded Logistics Center (Type A) has finished construction and passed inspection from Nanjing Customs on Aug 23. It is now ready to begin operating.

In China, a Type A bonded logistics center is a centralized customs-supervised area operated by the legal representatives of domestic enterprises. It specializes in bonded warehousing and logistics.

The Yangkou Port Bonded Logistics Center is located in the Yangkou Port Coastal Industrial Zone of Rudong county, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province. It was approved for construction by Nanjing Customs on May 11, 2018 and has a planning area of 223,532 square meters.

The center will help promote the development of processing trade and the service industry and lay a solid foundation for the establishment of regional distribution centers, said Yang Jingjing, vice county director of Rudong.
