Ding Yang from Roudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province won gold at the 11th Shanghai International Magic Festival and Competition, which was held from Nov 7 to 10.

Over 20 magicians from 10 countries including China, the United States, and Luxembourg were invited to give magic performances at the event. Ding, the only Chinese participant, was honored with the gold award.

This means that she can directly participate in the finals for the 28th FISM (International Federation of Magic Societies) World Championship of Magic, which is the most prestigious international magic competition.

Ding first attended the Shanghai International Magic Festival and Competition in 2011. She said that the festival reflects her progress in performing magic and that she hopes to prove herself against tougher competition.

The festival has attracted many talented international magicians and provided them with an exchange platform, influencing the development of magic around the world.
