A self-service library will soon open to the public in Haimen, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, according to Zhang Jinsong, Party secretary of the Haimen Library.
The new facility is located on the first floor of the Haimen Library and consists of a self-service lending area, an audio book area, and a reading pavilion.
The reading pavilion is the first of its kind in Haimen. It is a soundproof cubicle equipped with multimedia facilities. A variety of reading materials are available, including classic movie lines, tongue twisters, and foreign literature, allowing people to practice their language skills.
This is the third self-service library to open in Haimen, with the other two being located in Dongzhou Park and Binhe Square, respectively.
