Jiangsu Wanda Special Bearing broke ground on its lightweight precision bearing R&D and industrialization project on Oct 28 in Rugao, Nantong, and is set to implement a comprehensive smart upgrade across the entire production process.

With a total investment of 511 million yuan ($71.58 million), the project will bring in state-of-the-art smart precision hot-forming production lines, Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) lathes, high-precision CNC grinding machines, machining centers, and advanced intelligent logistics systems. 

Upon completion, the project is expected to increase annual production by 800,000 sets and boost annual sales by 584,000 sets, aligning with industry trends towards lightweight, eco-friendly, and high-end development.
