The agreement for a composite current collector project, funded by Vanwatt New Materials Technology, was recently formalized and is scheduled for establishment in the Rugao High-Tech Zone.
The project, with a total investment of 200 million yuan ($27.62 million), focuses on developing composite current collector materials widely used in high-performance batteries. The technology is cutting-edge, and the company has a proven ability for industrial-scale production. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate an annual output value exceeding 500 million yuan.
Vanwatt New Materials Technology has formed strong partnerships with universities and research institutions to provide reliable, high-quality, safe, and cost-effective solutions in the preparation of composite current collectors. This advanced composite material is set to replace traditional metal foils in lithium batteries, offering several advantages, such as enhanced puncture resistance, improved safety, reduced costs, lighter weight, increased energy density, and more durable cycle life.
Local authorities in Rugao provide comprehensive services to ensure the company can enjoy favorable policies and a smooth investment experience.
