The main structure of the new buildings at the Zhongxiu campus of Nantong Vocational University has been recently topped off.

In 2021, it was announced that the Qingnian Road campus of NTVU would be relocated to the Zhongxiu campus of Nantong University, and the original Zhongxiu campus of NTU was merged into the Seyuan Garden campus.

NTVU's Zhongxiu campus covers an area of 433 mu (28.87 hectares) and has a construction area of 290,000 square meters. After completion, it is planned to accommodate 12,000 students.

With the active cooperation of the school and the participating construction units, the relocation and construction of the Phase I renovation project was completed in June 2023. This included the reinforcement and renovation of some dormitory buildings and teaching buildings in the Zhongxiu campus for transitional use, as well as the maintenance of outdoor teaching areas and utility networks.

The Phase II and III projects of the relocation initiative started in January 2024. The primary objective of these phases is to establish national training bases that facilitate the integration of industry and education, alongside the development of teaching and residential facilities. After 12 months of construction and renovation, the main structure of the new buildings at the campus has been completed. The overall relocation is almost halfway complete, and it is expected to be fully completed by the end of this year.
