Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, held a large-scale job fair on Feb 6, attracting thousands of job seekers.

A total of 130 companies participated, offering 772 job types and 8,400 positions across industries such as mechanical electronics, smart manufacturing, high-end textiles, and semiconductor new energy. The event saw over 10,000 visits, with 1,600 employment agreements reached on-site.

One of the participating companies, Hengke New Materials, specializes in new polyester materials and the full textile industry chain. With over 10,000 employees, the company brought over 100 job openings to the fair. These positions offer competitive salaries and include benefits such as accommodation and social insurance packages.

Wang Jiaxin, a recruitment specialist from Hengke New Materials, highlighted the variety of positions available, including general, skilled, and administrative roles. He noted that salaries for general positions range from 5,000 to 8,000 yuan ($685-$1,098) per month, while administrative and technical roles offer 6,000 to 9,000 yuan per month.

Before and after the Chinese New Year are crucial times for job seekers and employers. Zhang Yougong, deputy director of the Tongzhou human resources and social security bureau, stated that throughout February, the bureau is set to continue to launch a series of recruitment events to attract more talent and further support the district's economic and social development.
